A perfect low-profile solution for under-cabinet, shelf, and closet lighting applications, our Aluminum Profile “ J” is our thinnest aluminum extrusion for LED strips, at just slightly over ¼” (0.28”) thick. Made of premium aluminum alloy, Aluminum Profile "J" draws the heat out of your LED strips to maximize their longevity. A universal housing for LED tape! Aluminum Profile “J” can accommodate any water-proof or non-waterproof LED strip up to 12mm (0.40”) wide. Use with our 24V High Density 240/m LED Strip in order to achieve dotless lighting. Applications
The slim and low profile of this channel makes it a perfect solution for under-cabinet, over-cabinet, and in-cabinet linear LED lighting. Perfectly suited for discreet linear shelf lighting and display cases. Aluminum Profile "J" is also popular for cove lighting applications. Use Aluminum Profile "J" to protect LED strips from water and the elements.
Installation
Install in minutes with easy snap-and-go clips. This Aluminum housing comes with (3) mounting clips. Simply install clips onto your desired surface with screws and quickly snap your LED aluminum housing into place.
Cutting
To cut your aluminum profiles and make your lighting fixtures a custom length, simply snap the lens onto the profile, and place the channel onto a miter saw with the lens facing down. By doing this you can easily cut both the channel and lens to your desired length at the same time. We recommend using a NEW fine tooth blade to cut your aluminum channels for LED strips. The diffuser/lens is fragile and will easily break with an old blade. The easiest way to avoid breaking a lens or diffuser is to lower the saw blade slowly while cutting.
