Aluminum Profile "R2" is one of our most popular surface-mounted aluminum housings for LED strips. It's large, rounded design resembles the look and feel of a fluorescent tube and emits lights at a wide 180 degree angle. The added depth allows it to produce evenly diffused, DOTLESS lighting by almost any LED strip. Aluminum Profile "R2" can accommodate any LED strip up to 0.86 Inch (21.9mm) wide. It is designed to dissipate heat from your high-output LED strips to maximize their lifetime. Applications

Aluminum Profile "R2" is a very popular solution for color changing RGB lighting. It can be used in hotels, nightclubs, and commercial spaces for decorative, dynamic, or general lighting purposes. When used with high-output white LED strips, Aluminum Profile "R2" can be used to create "fluorescent-looking" lighting with the added benefits of higher color rendering, efficiency, and lifetime of LED lighting.

Installation

Install in minutes with easy snap-and-go clips. Aluminum housing "R2" comes with (3) mounting clips. Simply install clips onto your desired surface with screws and quickly snap your LED aluminum housing into place.

Cutting:
To cut your aluminum profiles and make your lighting fixtures a custom length, simply snap the lens onto the profile, and place the channel onto a miter saw with the lens facing down. By doing this you can easily cut both the channel and lens to your desired length at the same time.

To cut your aluminum profiles and make your lighting fixtures a custom length, simply snap the lens onto the profile, and place the channel onto a miter saw with the lens facing down. By doing this you can easily cut both the channel and lens to your desired length at the same time. We recommend using a NEW fine tooth blade to cut your aluminum channels for LED strips. The diffuser/lens is fragile and will easily break with an old blade. The easiest way to avoid breaking a lens or diffuser is to lower the saw blade slowly while cutting.
