For modern architectural commercial lighting designs, our aluminum profile "P7" is a perfect solution. Aluminum channel "P7" can accommodate up to two rows of high-output LED strips, with an inner dimension of 1.60 Inch (40.6mm) wide, and properly disperse heat generated by the strips. The housing features an integrated "slot" to hold an LED driver or power-supply effectively allowing users to create their own light fixtures for general lighting applications. Applications

Aluminum profile "P7" can be surface mounted, as well as suspended. It's design allows one to achieve 2 Inch wide evenly diffused and modern high-output lighting, making it perfect for use in warehouses, garages, and for any creative lighting solutions one can think of! Install a driver within the rear of the channel so line voltage can be supplied directly to your light fixture. Although intended mainly for indoor use, Aluminum Profile "P7" can be used with waterproof components in outdoor environments.

Installation

With aluminum profile "P7", one has the option of using a suspension kit, or screwing directly into the desired surface.

Mounting Methods

Install in minutes with our included suspension kit. Simply screw the anchor into your desired surface, install the included aircraft cable and cut to your desired length. Before Installing the closed end-cap onto light fixture, slide cable-grip retaining screws into the rear channel of the aluminum housing. Insert End-Cap, and tighten cable-gripper onto light fixture. Aircraft cable can now be pulled into the cable-grip and adjusted to desired suspension height.

Mounting Method #2 (Screw into Surface)
Drill hole specific to your mounting screw diameter into aluminum housing. Counter-sink the hole so a flat-head screw can sit flush with the housing. Install LED Strip over screw.

Cutting

To cut your aluminum profiles and make your lighting fixtures a custom length, simply snap the lens onto the profile, and place the channel onto a miter saw with the lens facing down. By doing this you can easily cut both the channel and lens to your desired length at the same time. We recommend using a NEW fine tooth blade to cut your aluminum channels for LED strips. The diffuser/lens is fragile and will easily break with an old blade. The easiest way to avoid breaking a lens or diffuser is to lower the saw blade slowly while cutting.
