Aluminum Profile "I" is a low-profile, corner mounted extrusion for low-medium output LED ribbon. It is a popular solution for under-cabinet lighting, and in-cabinet lighting. Inside of cabinets, it can be installed along vertical framing to clearly illuminate items within the cabinet. Aluminum Profile "I" maximizes the lifetime of your LED strips by extracting excess heat. Aluminum Profile "I" can accommodate any LED strip up to 10.3mm (0.41") wide. Aluminum Profile "I" is conveniently sold in 8ft lengths as a completed kit including one pair of end caps and a choice of one premium UV resistant clear or frosted diffuser (lens). Applications

Aluminum Profile "I" is typically used under-cabinets and inside cabinets to provide task lighting. Aluminum Profile "I" is designed to sit in a corner and emit light with a 90 degree spread. When used in exterior applications, Aluminum Profile "I" provides added waterproofing and protects LEDs from damaging elements.

Installation

Install in minutes with easy snap-and-go clips. This Aluminum housing comes with (3) mounting clips. Simply install clips onto your desired surface with screws and quickly snap your LED aluminum housing into place.

Cutting

To cut your aluminum profiles and make your lighting fixtures a custom length, simply snap the lens onto the profile, and place the channel onto a miter saw with the lens facing down. By doing this you can easily cut both the channel and lens to your desired length at the same time. We recommend using a NEW fine tooth blade to cut your aluminum channels for LED strips. The diffuser/lens is fragile and will easily break with an old blade. The easiest way to avoid breaking a lens or diffuser is to lower the saw blade slowly while cutting.
